This afternoon we walked to the Wanganui Christmas Parade. New Zealand has been pushing Christmas since the beginning of October. Without Halloween or Thanksgiving in between, they start celebrating early. It was everything one might expect from a small town parade.
Wanganui Christmas Parade

I like the hot pink wellies. Not to mention the hats and shades. My friend, Martina, used to laughingly tell us about how silly they felt when every year her family would swelter their way through preparation and consumption of a traditional English Christmas dinner in the height of summer in Melbourne Australia.
Maybe you can grill (vege) burgers and eat watermelon for Christmas dinner? Apple pie and ice cream!!!?
The weather at your parade appears to have been much nicer than the weather at ours.
